Just a Perfect Day, I am glad I spent it with you .. MEGHAN & AL

The ride through a bucolic countryside outside of Frenchtown, NJ where Meghan was getting ready at her Parents' home was ... a refreshing experience after absorbing the hustle and bussle of New York for sometime now. The cicadas, tall grasses rocked by a gentle breeze, and an occasional groundhog .. Nice.
Upon arriving, and seeing beautiful Meghan with her fairies I was even more inspired, and pumped up creatively:

Meghans' Parents worked on their flower garden to make it look that good for the wedding. There was an ocassional bee, wreaking havoc through the lively group :)

A lovely collection, I like!

The necklace Meghan's Mom wore on her wedding day, as 'something old' adorning bride's bouquet:

In the meantime David was with the Guys, here's our swanky groom Al:

And this is how he proposed, it's all recorded on his IPhone (!) WOW. Technology.

Just rings:

The ceremony took place in the charming Frenchtown church:

After ceremony...

The reception was held at Occasions in New Hope:

Just a perfect day,
Problems all left alone,
Weekenders on our own.
Its such fun.
Just a perfect day,
You made me forget myself. (Lou Reed, 'Perfect Day')

Glen Island Glamour - Stephanie and John !

Sometimes I feel like some weddings 'photograph themselves'. Wherever you turn at whatever moment of the day - there is something pretty in front of your lens, your exposure is always dead on, people are naturally happy, the light in the church is surprisingly good and... even the weather cooperates (against all odds). To our greatest delight Stephanie and John were even more rewarding subjects on their wedding day than they were a few months earlier during their engagement session. We shot our hearts out and then some :) Here's the appeal, enchantment and charisma as we saw it:

Shooting in the rain definitely has its perks - you have a chance to capture images that otherwise simply wouldn't happen !

As soon as the ceremony ended and we were leaving the church the skies cleared up. Rain and fog were replaced by pleasant, slightly overcast weather. Excellent ! Just in time for our family session and the big shoot at Glen Island Harbor Club, where Stephanie and John's reception was taking place:

The kids provided this adorable little souvenir illustration for our couple:

Stephanie and John - fabulous, romantic, easy-going, fun ! David and Monika - happy to shoot, pleased with the results !

Adventures at the Castle, Starring Adrienne & Chris!

First, bridesmaids' shoes delivered the morning of were.... snake skin pattern, and not silver metallic, as planned. Then, Adrienne and Liz (her StepMom) plucked all the ugly violet folwers from bouqets, and promptly flushed flushed them in the toiled. Even though things were not soo 'smooth' at the beginningof the day, Adrienne kept her cherful spirit, along with the sense of humor, and her photographers love her for it! We also very much enjoyed her very handsome, and super nice Groom- Chris.
I was in awe of Adrienne's Bridesmaids resorcefulness. A couple of hours and 2 cans of metallic spray from Home Depot later, we had perfect shoes for the occasion!

some newspaper humor, along with a perfect shoe!

This is by my fabulous second shooter and a good friend Maggie Wallace Cullen, who started with Chris at his home:

The reception was held at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA.
The small structure, where the cockrtail hour is held features really unique tilework. You also got to love that big, yellow speaker ;)
